Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers can be used to plump up lips, soften wrinkles and creases and improve the appearance of scars. Aging results in the loss of subcutaneous fat in the face, making smile lines and crow’s feet more apparent.

Dermal fillers work to restore volume and fullness in the face and cost less than a traditional facelift while delivering dramatic results. Results last from four months to one year. Injectable fillers can be used to fill in a line, crease or add volume and shape to an area.

Botox

Botox is a very popular cosmetic treatment that is injected directly into the muscle. It relaxes the facial muscles temporarily and is used to treat frown lines, forehead creases, crow’s feet and lines around the mouth. After treatment, you can see visible results in three to five days and full results in up to two weeks. Botox is not injected into wrinkles. Instead, it is injected at the point where the muscle contracts.

This treatment method is one of the most common cosmetic procedures and is used to soften the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. Results last three months or longer.

Laser Skin Resurfacing

Laser skin resurfacing is also known as a laser peel. The goal of a laser peel is to make skin appear smoother, tighter, more even in texture, tone, and color. The treatment consists of a physician passing the laser over the area to be treated. The laser emits s beam of light that causes controlled damage to the top layers of skin. A cooling preparation is applied afterward to reduce swelling and minimize discomfort. Peels stimulate collagen regeneration by removing the outer layers of the skin to reveal new, healthy skin.

A lot less expensive than traditional facelifts, wrinkle injection fillers – aka dermal fillers – can target and fill facial lines and wrinkles in under 30 minutes and the effects can last anywhere from four months to up to a year, in some cases.

Injectable dermal fillers including Juvederm, Radiesse, and Restylane have been around for a while and they have been effective in helping reduce wrinkles without the need for surgery. However, new studies have shown that wrinkle injections containing hyaluronic acid such as Restylane and Juvederm can stimulate collagen production and at the same time interfere with collagen breakdown.
